Tottenham Hotspur announced on Tuesday that Brandon Austin had signed a new contract with the club until the end of the 2021/22 campaign.
The 20-year-old is yet to make his first-team debut for Spurs.
However, it has been a successful season when considering that he has been on the bench for five first-team matches this term, including four in the Premier League.
And many of the Tottenham fans are pleased with the contract update.
A number of others, though, did not actually respond to the news surrounding Austin and instead wanted an update on the futures of other players at the club.

Indeed, central defenders Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen will both see their contracts expire at the end of the season, whilst some of the fans wanted a positive update on teenage striker Troy Parrott rather than learning that Austin had signed a new deal.
Meanwhile, some of the fans focused on Austin’s potential. Indeed, the stopper has played three times for Tottenham’s Under-23 side this season, whilst he was also called up to the England Under-21 squad in both October and November.
It remains to be seen what happens with the stopper in the future, although some clearly believe that the sky is the limit.
A number of the club’s supporters have also had their say on the speculation surrounding a possible January arrival.
