Greenwood delivered another stellar performance for Marseille, reinforcing his growing influence in Ligue 1 with a goal (although it has since gone down as an own goal) and an assist during their recent clash against Brest. Marseille lined up in a 4-2-3-1 formation against Brest, with Greenwood deployed in a wide position that appears to suit his strengths. And Marseille captain Valentin Rongier believes the forward will thrive in his new role.
WHAT RONGIER SAID
In an interview with Rongier said: "Changing things up puts everyone back in alert mode. And also putting Luis (Henrique) and Mason (Greenwood) in their preferred position. Because Mason loves to be there, even when he played a little bit as a false nine, as a ten, he likes to go out to the wing. I think it's also good for our attacking assets."
