announced that a casual vacancy created on the SACA Board of Management
following the retirement of Neil Dansie, after 32 years of excellent service
to South Australian cricket administration, was filled today by a decision
to ask Jamie McPhee to join the Board.Mr McLachlan said that Jamie McPhee’s current attachment to cricket, his
cricketing ability and business expertise will be a great addition to the
current cross-section of attributes at SACA.Jamie is 36 years of age, and has had an extensive involvement in district
cricket over a 25-year period, playing for Kensington and University. In
1983/84, he Captained the Australian Under 19 cricket team against Sri Lanka
in Australia, and his team-mates included Steve and Mark Waugh, Craig
McDermott and Mark Taylor. Jamie also played 30 senior games for Sturt
Football Club between 1984 and 1989.Professionally, Jamie is Chief General Manager – Retail Banking, at Adelaide
Bank, and holds a degree in Civil Engineering, Graduate Diploma in Applied
Finance and Investment and a Masters in Business Administration.
